Elegant Knitting International Pvt Ltd is a leading apparel manufacturer with a global presence, specializing in high-quality flatbed knitting and sewing. As we continue our rapid expansion at our Biyagama facility, we remain dedicated to excellence and ethical manufacturing practices.

We are seeking a pioneering Training & Development Executive to join us. This is a foundational role, designed for an expert who possesses the vision to build a world-class learning ecosystem from the ground up, ensuring our craftsmanship remains unrivaled on the global stage.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify skills gaps across various departments, from production lines to administrative offices.
  • Develop and curate training materials, manuals, and digital content specifically tailored to apparel manufacturing standards (e.g., Lean manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Compliance)
  • Lead orientation sessions for new hires and facilitate technical or soft-skills workshops for existing staff.
  • Implement systems to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and report on ROI.
  • Ensure all training aligns with international labor standards, health and safety regulations, and buyer-specific compliance requirements.
  • Assist HR leadership in developing succession plans and internal promotion pathways for high-potential employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Education, or professional qualification in  a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a T&D or HR role, preferably within the garment or manufacturing sector.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-CP, or specialized Train-the-Trainer certifications) are a distinct advantage.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), MS Office Suite, and graphic design tools for material creation.
  • Exceptional public speaking abilities, emotional intelligence, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
