We are seeking an experienced Laboratory & Colour Standards Manager to lead all laboratory testing, colour approval, and product performance activities across yarns, knitted panels, trims, and finished garments. This role is critical in ensuring products meet customer specifications, international testing standards, and colour requirements before bulk production commences. The successful candidate will serve as the company's technical authority on textile testing, colour management, and product performance.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain all digital and physical customer colour standards, shade references, and approval records for long-term consistency.
  • Evaluate and approve lab dips, shade bands, and bulk dyeing submissions using visual and instrumental assessments.
  • Schedule and conduct physical and chemical testing from raw materials to finished garments.
  • Manage approval workflows between internal departments, external dye houses, and accredited testing laboratories.
  • Investigate product failures, execute root cause analysis, and ensure laboratory compliance with ISO and AATCC standards.

Requirements

  • Requires a textile-related degree/diploma and 5–8 years of lab management experience in apparel or knitwear manufacturing.
  • Demands expertise in lab dips, bulk shade approvals, visual matching, and spectrophotometer systems like Datacolor.
  • Requires deep practical knowledge of international and customer textile standards, including ISO, AATCC, and BS EN.
  • Demands a strong understanding of yarn, fabric, and garment construction to interpret results and optimize product quality.
  • Requires managing equipment calibration, internal testing schedules, and relationships with external accredited labs and dye houses.
