QCO and Technical Manager

We are a rapidly growing Australian-owned apparel factory located in Biyagama EPZ.  The Sewing Technical Manager will be responsible for overseeing the creation and production of sewing for our valuable customers. This role will involve managing a team of sewers ensuring that customer orders are completed accurately and on time

Responsibilities

        • Manage a and train a team of sewers assign tasks as needed
        • Review and approve sample sewing to ensure accuracy and quality
        • Communicate with designers and product development teams to understand sample requests and provide feedback on the feasibility
        • Maintain inventory of supplies and materials needed for sewing production
        • Ensure that all safety protocols are followed in the sewing section
        • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate the production of sewingand meet deadlines
        • Monitor and track the progress of sewingproduction, identifying and addressing any issues that may arise
        • Develop and implement processes to increase efficiency and productivity in the sewing room
        • Guide QCO team on implementing quick line changes overs 

Requirements

        • 5+ years of experience in sewing and production in the apparel industry
        • Strong leadership and management skills
        • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
        • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
        • Knowledge of sewing techniques, patterns, and fabrics
        • Proficiency with sewing machines and other sewing equipment
        • Familiarity with safety protocols in a sewing environment
