Management Trainee
Elegant Knitting International Pvt Ltd at Biyagama Export Processing Zone is a leading apparel manufacturer with a strong global presence. We are seeking high-potential Management Trainees who are eager to build a long-term career in the apparel manufacturing industry.
Our Management Trainee Programme is designed to develop future leaders by providing structured exposure across factory operations and business functions. Selected candidates will receive hands-on training, mentorship from senior managers, and the opportunity to develop practical expertise in garment manufacturing and business operations.
Successful trainees will rotate through key departments and develop the operational knowledge required to take on supervisory and management roles within the organization.
TRAINING AREAS
Management Trainees may be placed in one of the following areas based on qualifications, aptitude, and company requirements:
* Production Management – coordinating manufacturing operations and production planning
* Merchandising – working with customers, product development, and order coordination
* Accounts & Finance – supporting financial reporting, costing, and accounting processes
* Human Resources – recruitment, employee engagement, and HR operations
* Industrial Engineering (IE) – improving productivity, line balancing, and operational efficiency
* Knitting Operations – learning flatbed knitting technology and production control
* Sewing Operations – managing garment assembly processes and production flow
Responsibilities
* Learn and understand the operational workflow of garment manufacturing.
* Support departmental managers in daily operational tasks and problem solving.
* Assist in analyzing production data and identifying improvement opportunities.
* Work closely with supervisors and operators to understand factory operations.
* Participate in improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost control.
* Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Textile Engineering, Apparel Production, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resource Management, or related discipline.
* Strong academic performance and analytical ability.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Strong interest in building a career in *apparel manufacturing and factory operations.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teams across different departments.
* Willingness to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
